Here are the highly recommended sailing destinations which you can visit with a flotilla in Croatia.
Riva Harbor (Split)
Located just outside the historic center and the Diocletian Palace stands the modern city along the sea with large palm trees and colorful flower beds. Along the paved alternate there are countless places to enjoy a cold drink or ice cream while you observe the hectic bustle of people. It has an impressive waterfront at the foot of the imposing outer walls of the city.
Old Split is an interesting and very cute downtown area. Everything looks impressive and wonderful when you visit the Diocletian's Palace. From the promenade you have a beautiful view of the sea, private yachts, and ships. Split is well known for this pretty old town that is overlooking the Adriatic Sea. It is famous for the Diocletian's Palace, the Golden Gate and the Cathedral with its famous bell tower. At night, the narrow streets and the waterfront look very beautiful. Every corner is a surprise, Croatian local shops, colorful bars, restaurants of all kinds. Truly a treat not to be missed!
Lopud Island (Dubrovnik)
The Island of Lopud is so small that there are no cars, you move on foot or by bike and there are no noise except the cicadas and the waves. Despite being tiny, it is an island full of history, very charming, and has 33 old churches to explore. The beaches are clean with crystal clear waters, nice to sail on board a Flotilla Sailing journey, and not crowded even during the peak of the summer season. It’s a pretty island that can be visited by boats that depart from the port of Dubrovnik.
Docking in the island is possible not only from Dubrovnik, but also from the peninsula next to it. The strip of land is extensive and particularly striking because the main road that runs to the center can make you feel like being in the most rugged mountain areas. It is considered by the locals as an island of contradictions and the beautiful inaccessible beaches. It is ideal for those who love a Flotilla Sailing adventure.
Port of Rovinj (Istria)
The Port of Rovinj offers a nice walk along the harbor during the day and in the evening (which is a show with all decorations, lights, lampposts and boats swaying). It has lots of good local bars and restaurants facing the ocean. There are colorful houses, hidden alleys that will surprise you with new things to see. A famous bell tower stands in the midst of all this. The place is charming even in winter.
