Imperial Palace (Hofburg)
Hofburg is the winter residence of the Habsburg dynasty, now it is a huge architectural complex, which occupies 240,000 square meters, comprises 18 buildings and 19 palaces: chapels, museums, the treasury, the library, a theatre, a riding school, and stables. All of them were built at different times and have different architectural styles, from Gothic and Renaissance to Baroque and Biedermeier. Belvedere Palace Museum
Belvedere is another magnificent palace complex, the summer residence of Prince Eugene of Savoy (18th century). The palace is beautiful inside and from the outside. Around the palace, you will see a magnificent garden in the French style. It was created by one of the Versailles architect’s student. The park complex of the palace is luxurious and its beauty is breathtaking: a three-tiered garden, swimming pools, fountains, figures of sphinxes and Roman gods. Inside, you will see the magnificent Marble Hall, Marble and art gallery, frescoes and sculptures. Of particular note is the Gold room. The large space is reserved for the greenhouse and private stables of Prince.
